Ineke
è un'insegnante d'arte e ha ottenuto il diploma al
College for Art Teachers ad Amsterdam.
Dal 1990 realizza ceramica e per preparare i suoi lavori utilizza
la tecnica della terra sigillata.
Trae ispirazione dalle diverse culture che ha incontrato durante
i suoi numerosi viaggi, infatti le forme si rifanna alla ceramica
etrusca e alla ceramica tradizionale africana. Nel 2002 ha
esposto le sue ceramiche ad Amsterdam (Gallery d Eglantier)
and Amersfoort ( Gallery De Ploegh).
Ineke lives and works in Bilthoven, The Netherlands. Originally,
she was an art teacher. She got her degree at the College
for Art Teachers, Amsterdam . From 1990 she builds pots. To
prepare the surfaces of her vessels, she uses terra sigillata,
organic material or oxides. Two or more firings follow. Ineke
has a fascination for unglazed ancient earthenware and folk
art. She finds her inspiration in different structures of
the earth, while travelling. By her study in museums with
Etruscan art and with African pottery, she has decided to
smoke fire her vessels. In 2002 Ineke has exhibited her ceramic
work in Amsterdam (Gallery d Eglantier) and Amersfoort ( Gallery
